A viral tik-tok sensation, the 40oz tumbler was consistently in the news.
This family of drinkware was to designed to give users the ability to carry a large amount of water, use a straw and fit in a car. Through research, our product team determined a number of parameters:
Vessel was to mimic the big gulp experience.

Car cup compatible
Splash proof, drink through lid catering to hot and cold drinks
How it started…
I began with form exploration for the stainless body and some exploration for the type of drink through lid. Through discussion we eliminated the option of a flip lid and went in the direction of a twist lid. Based on the volume capacity and car cup compatibility the form essentially began to follow the function.
3 sizes, 40oz, 30oz, and 20oz. I worked to keep the chamfer and height of the transition as consistent as possible while maintaining the precise volume. The handle of the 40oz matches other handles in the Adventure series of Stanley drinkware and base diameters are care cup compatible.
After many prototypes, we developed a design that has 3 use modes, giving the user the choice of how to drink their beverage.
